I got good communication and they did a very good job. I did go in with the intention of talking to them and setting up an appointment to bring my car in when I knew I had no need for my car so I wouldn't be stressed. They talked me into leaving it right then by countering my objections. They did get my car to me by the time I needed it but they did push past two of their deadlines and one of mine causing me a lot of stress. I don't know that they really had any control over the timeline but I would have much rather had the car fixed by an appointment that I knew my schedule was clear. Overall, they did a very good job. I can't tell on the price. I know that their labor costs are in line with other mechanics. The parts cost ,which i don't know that they could have any control over that was what pushed my price up. This is the first time I have had car repairs since before this ridiculous inflation so I don't have a clue if that was normal. Probably. On a plus note. I had my air conditioner serviced years back by another mechanic and several months bacafter it stopped cooling. The car is old and the other mechanic had questioned it's life of continuous working. honest review.. I had my car towed there after it started smoking and they did a free diagnostic of what the problem was, then called me back the next morning and said it was the radiator and quoted me $2900 including the tow, hoses and new temperature gage but if I didn't want the new hoses it would be $2100, also said the cheapest radiator for my car he could find was $900. I said no thank you and first radiator i found on o'reilys was the exact one i already had for $150 and changed it myself(took maybe 2 hours) and the car is just fine now... don't get me wrong one of the guys i talked to was super nice and easy to work with but that price just doesn't make sense and shows the up charging they do on a regular.

John and the team at Main Lane Round Rock are so helpful, professional, and friendly. They always take the time to explain to me what is needed for my car and what to prioritize as far as maintenance. I have and will continue to recommend Main Lane to everyone!

MainLane is all about prevention. Every visit is sorta like a wellness checkup for your car. Go in for an oil change, and their guys inspect everything. Time for scheduled service, you'll get a friendly reminder by text of phone call. Great service, great company.

TLDR: Went from happy customers to very happy customers. Jon at MainLane did a fantastic job helping us out today. We liked this place before, but now we respect them because of how we were treated today. We were offered a free oil change and came in for that, but while we were in they did several hours of free diagnostic work for us. It was a relief to find out what we need to repair and what we don’t. They didn’t pressure us to get things done that we didn’t need to, even though we had preconceived ideas of what we wanted to get one. They also weren’t afraid to tackle our older Toyota 4Runner. It’s rare to find an honest mechanic that you can trust like this. Definitely will be recommending them to family and friends.
